For those that don't play AT-43, this is one of the best programs I've ever used and Nazgul does it for free for us. I recommend it highly to everyone. _________________

| I second that NazguL has made an outstanding contribution to the AT-43 community with his Easy AT-43 program. Thanks again for doing it for Confrontation CAoR. |

On the french forum, they notice the link was not correct (le PHP script targeted the wrong installer). I've changed it. |

Hi!
I third and fourth this.
His program is an indispensable part of playing AT and now Confrontation.

According to the base packaging, 5cm.

So far, though there may end up being a number of 5cm wolfen figures. (I expect the Worgs to be 5cm.) _________________ Time is an illusion. Lunchtime doubly so. - Douglas Adams. - - - - The Living FAQ

I notice that the installer downloads several modules on the fly during installation. Can there be made available a complete, offline-ready pack?
At the shop we use a computer that is purposefully kept off the Internet. This safeguards against kids web browsing to sites that install spyware, bots, and other malicious software. It also safeguards against MMORPG addicts :) There is no way to make it go online, so we would never get these modules on that machine unless a complete installer is made. |

I agree. I do love the at-43 version, but I rarely use windows now (to play games mostly) so I have not tried this one yet.
Wish it where in JAVA.
Armies if immoren is in JAVA and it works on my Windows, MAC, linux, BSD units, and I'll be attempting on a sparc in the future.
But I still thank nazgul and team, for it is a blessing to have, even if for wincrap, er I mean winblows only.

As I've said many times, my expertise is in windows programming, not java or anything else. If it was a job, I could easily go to any language and IDE available. But as I'm doing this on WE, I don't have time to go to feature I won't use.
As I said, there is a multi-platform .Net framework called MONO. I've tried to run Easy AT-43 on this plateform, some features works, some other don't (printing, downloading). I don't have time to go deeper in this. |

I've made a technical update. It adds Polish, thx to YoungOlo. But it also add a TraceLog to help me find the problem. If you have a crash on loading or missing compagnies, please send me the regular crashlog but join the TraceLog.txt file you could find in the Data Folder. I've added an icon in the start menu to this folder.
Release 2.0.3 : 2008-04-02
- Lang : Polish language files added thx to YoungOlo.
- Fix : Wolfen multiple special fighter choice (you may have data loss).
- Log : Many trace logs where added to help me understanding crashes.
It also correct the Wolfen bug on Special fighters.

I'm trying to figure out the XML format so I can create a data file for my goblins, do you have a published XML template for creating armies? _________________ Cheers,

No, I'm mainly learning myself. I don't know how to create templates, and as I don't need them...
Army files aren't too complex to build :
- Info.xml contains the army definitions and factions.
- Officer.xml contains heroes
- models.xml contains miniatures
- equips.xml contains equipement (optionnal and standard) and specialists
- units.xml contains units of this army and links to equipments, officers and miniature
It's quite complexe, there are many "workaround" like officer moral switching with unit moral, fake "hero units" to print hero abilities... The miniature handeling is not simple too... And there is a lot of redundancies...
I suggest you don't go into creating your army data files, You'll have a very hard time figuring how to do it...
Futher more, to add an army in the software, I have to hardcode its folder. if not, this folder won't load.
Final words : This data model evolves as I need to implement specific rules. for example, the hero handling in Confrontation need reorgainsation of this "fake units", I must move the moral overload to the unit, and handle it as a real unit to be printed. This will change thing for AT-43 too and remove some hard coding.
For now, I suggest you stick with the online Army Builder if you army isn't available in Easy Confrontation. Maybe your help could be wellcome when the printing company feature will be ready. When this is done, I think the data model will be quite stable. When it's done, I'll go futher in adding armies
Thx for you offer though |
